Enchanting coming to Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls

Blizzard Entertainment announced today that Reaper of Souls, the upcoming expansion pack for Diablo 3, will include a new enchanting feature.

Enchanting allows players to re-roll the magical properties of items and well as replace specific ones all together. For example, if you have a weapon that does fire fire damageand you’d rather it gave you bonus gold find, you’ll be able to switch those stats. Players will also gain access to a feature familiar to World of Warcraft players known as Transmogrification. Transmogrification allows players to take the appearance of one item and attach it on another. So if you like the way a certain armor set looks, but you’re weary of upgraded gear changing the look of your character, you can keep that cosmetic style by applying it to your new item.

Last week, Blizzard announced that it’s upcoming expansion to Diablo 3 called Reaper of Souls would be making its way to the Playstation 4. The expansion includes a new character class, quests, raised level cap, and features. Blizzard hasn’t clarified whether or not the Playstation 4 version of Diablo 3 will include the Reaper of Souls expansion or if it will be sold separately. Blizzard also hasn’t clarified whether or not the Reaper of Souls expansion will be available for the Playstation 3 version, but signs from Blizzard don’t look promising for Sony’s seven-year-old console.

Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls will be available early 2014.
