Epic showed off its Unreal Engine 4 during the 2013 Game Developers Conference through the new "Infiltrator" technical demo. We’ve got the video of Infiltrator below, so be sure to check out what we could expect from Epic’s latest technology. During the presentation, Epic demonstrated that the demo was rendered in real-time by turning on and off different filters.
The new engine gives more freedom for game engineers by allowing light artists to work without code inputs or general tasks, Mark Rein, Epic’s vice president explained. Developers can put more time then into specialized tasks.
The video gives us a look at what we can possibly expect with Unreal Engine 4 running on next-gen consoles. We should know more about Unreal Engine 4 soon. The tech demo is running on a single off-the-shelf Nvidia GTX 680, Rein said via Twitter.
