Build A Rocket Boy‘s ambitious-sounding platformer Everywhere has had its future slightly clouded after it emerged that the company’s next tile, MindsEye, is adopting that game’s creative suite.
Everywhere was originally announced in 2022 and was originally pencilled in for a 2023 release. That didn’t happen, but during March 2023 it was revealed that that players would be able to utilise a creation suite titled Arcadia, allowing users to craft their own gaming experiences such as combat and racing, with assets ranging from individual items to entire stages complemented by programmable enemy AI.
MindsEye was also revealed during the same time frame, although at this point it was positioned as being available within Everywhere as an open-world action title. That has since changed, obviously, with MindsEye set to receive a standalone release in June for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S, and what’s more, will feature its own creative suite.

Speaking with VGC, a spokesperson for Build A Rocket Boy has now revealed that Everywhere’s creation suite has indeed been adopted by MindsEye, which casts doubt over the former’s future.
As with all new products, things evolve. Arcadia was originally envisioned as our creation platform, but as we continued developing MindsEye and building out BARB’s ecosystem, it naturally grew into something more focused— Play.MindsEye and Build.MindsEye.
It’s three seamlessly interconnected experiences – an explosive action-adventure campaign; Play.MindsEye, a continuous stream of premium studio-developed content; and Build.MindsEye to craft your own games. For BARB to fully realize our vision, we had to beta test our creation system with a community of builders in real-time and started with Everywhere while we were in stealth mode developing MindsEye.
The spokesperson didn’t clarify if this means that Everywhere will no longer see the light of day and we’re just getting MindsEye, or the project will eventually be released.
