Ex-Clair Obscur Expedition 33 Animator Has Moved To Poland To Join The Witcher IV Dev CD Projekt RED

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 cinematic animator, Lucie Hennet, has revealed that she has joined up with The Witcher IV developer CD Projekt RED, where she’ll serve as an on-site cinematic animator.

Hennet revealed some details about her previous work in a post on ArtStation, revealing she specialised in “cleaning up and refining body and facial motion capture.” She’s now moved from France to Poland to work with CDPR, although it is not explicitly stated that she’s working on The Witcher IV. However it’s worth keeping in mind that the studios Warsaw-based team are working on the upcoming fantasy-RPG, while its North American outfit is busy with Cyberpunk 2 and Project Sirius.

The Witcher IV was announced during The Game Awards 2024 with a cinematic trailer, and CDPR has confirmed that the game will not be released until after 2026. Back in December, it was revealed that Felix Padulla, who worked on Baldur’s Gate III as a senior cinematic artist, and joined up with CDPR to work on The Witcher IV in the same role he had while at Larian Studios.

Speaking in June 2025, Charles Tremblay, VP of Technology for CDPR, revealed that the development team are hoping to achieve 60 FPS with ray-tracing on PS5 for The Witcher IV. In addition, CDPR has also promised that The Witcher IV will deliver completely new regions to explore, as well as new creatures to battle, one of which ‘plays with your own fears.’
