Fallout 4 and The Elder Scrolls developer planning three ‘big and crazy’ new games

Fallout developer Bethesda currently has three new IPs in the works that will be very different to its previous franchises, which include The Elder Scrolls, Wolfenstein and Dishonored.

Currently working on the upcoming Fallout 4 DLC, DOOM and Dishonored 2, Bethesda boss Todd Howard told the audience at the DICE Summit this week that the studio has major long term plans.

“We actually have three kind of longer term projects we’re doing that are all—we’ll talk about them at a future date—but they’re different than anything we’ve done before, while also being a Bethesda-style game,” said Howard. “Big and crazy, but in many ways different than things we’ve done before. It’s an exciting time.”

It’s unlikely we’ll hear about the new projects for some time, although Bethesda may choose the platform of E3 2016 in June to announce one or more of its new games.

In the meantime, the studio plans to launch three new DLC packs for Fallout 4, including ‘Automatron’ which will be available to download from the PlayStation Store in March. The two other DLC packs, ‘Wasteland Workshop’ and Far Harbor will follow in April and May.
