Fallout 4 mod details for PS4 to be revealed soon, says dev

The developer behind Fallout 4 has promised that it will share details on mods for the PlayStation 4 version of its post-apocalyptic RPG soon.

Speaking on the official Fallout 4 Twitter account, Bethesda commented that, "we’ll be sharing more details soon. Stay tuned."

The studio confirmed last year that mods were coming to the console version of the critically acclaimed title, although Bethesda has been keeping tight-lipped on any substantial details beyond its initial announcement.

Fallout 4 was released for PS4, PC, and Xbox One in November. The game takes place in the Boston wastelands 210 years after a Third World War over resources culminates in a nuclear holocaust, with players awakening in the year 2287 after being cryogenically frozen inside the confines of Vault 111.

Set in an open-world, Fallout 4 incorporates a number of new features not seen in previous games, including a companion on the shape of Dogmeat, a layered armor system, base-building, and a dynamic dialogue system offering over 111,000 lines of spoken dialogue.

The game attracted rave reviews from critics and proved an immediate commercial success, shipping a massive 12 million copies in its first 24 hours on sale and generating $750 million in revenue. Fallout 4 also sold over five million units in its first week on sale, with the PS4 version of the game outpacing its Xbox One counterpart.
