The next chapter in the critically acclaimed Fallout series may be announced at VGX 2014, a Twitter post by GameTrailersTV’s Geoff Keighley has hinted.
Writing on the social networking site, Keighley, who also acts as executive on VGX (previously known as the Spike Video Game Awards), said:
Great night planning with the ladies who run Bethesda. You are missed @DCDeacon pic.twitter.com/pWHrD80p8Z

Of course, there’s no mention of Fallout 4 by name, and there’s every chance he could have been referring to the upcoming Doom reboot, or something else entirely.
However, as gamerheadlines points out, Bethesda has something of a history with the VGX (or rather, as it was called back then, the VGAs). The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was officially announced the awards ceremony back in December 2010, before getting an E3 2011 demo and finally a release in November of that year.
Presumably, if Fallout 4 were to follow the same schedule, then we’ll see a formal reveal at VGX 2014, followed by an E3 gameplay demo and release in summer and fall/winter 2015, respectively.
