Far Cry 6 Set For Release By April 2021, To Be Set Outside The US – Report

The next Far Cry game will be set in a location outside the US, a new report has detailed. Spotted by TweakTown, a translated post from GameReactor.dk not only confirms that Ubisoft’s unannounced AAA game is a new Far Cry (yes, it still sucks to be a Splinter Cell fan), but that Far Cry 6 (or whatever they end up calling it), will be released before April 2021 and will be set in a location outside North America.

Far Cry 6 is expected to be unveiled during the Ubisoft Forward games showcase on July 12.

The excerpt from GameReactor.dk can be seen below:

“The last [Ubisoft] game scheduled to be released before April (unless Ubisoft decides it’s this game that should be postponed due to COVID-19 or that there are too many AAA releases in a fairly short window) is set to be a Far Cry. I don’t want to ruin Ubisoft’s plans by giving you all the information, but I can say with certainty that those of you who didn’t like Far Cry 5’s North American setting are likely to find this game more interesting when it’s officially unveiled during Ubisoft Forward on July 12”.

What do you think about this? Were you one of the folks that didn’t really like the North American setting of Far Cry 5 and Far Cry: New Dawn? Let us know in the comments!
