Ubisoft’s Far Cry video game franchise is set to be adapted into a live action series at FX, which is set to be helmed by Noah Hawley and Rob Mac.
Mac is also set to star in the Far Cry TV series, which will be streamed across Hulu in the U.S. and Disney+ internationally. Details on the plot have yet to be revealed, but it is believed that the series will follow an anthology format similar to the games, so each season will feature a different cast and setting.
Getting to work alongside Noah Hawley is a dream realized. Ubisoft has been remarkably generous, entrusting us with one of the most iconic video-game worlds ever created. And through it all, my FX family continues to lift me up with their constant belief and support.

While on the subject of the Far Cry series, it has been rumoured for well over a year now that Ubisoft is working on the next major instalment in the series, with a recent leak supposedly revealing images and screenshots of Far Cry 7. It is widely believed at this point that the new game will take place in Alaska and will see the main character having to rescue their family within a 72-hour time limit.
