The NPD Group has revealed the lineup of top-selling software in North America for February 2016, confirming Far Cry Primal left a prehistoric-sized footprint over the competition by claiming the no.1 spot.
Ubisoft’s open-world action-adventure title hit PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One at the tail end of last month, and managed to fend off the likes of Grand Theft Auto V and Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 to nab the top spot on the charts.
Sadly, the same cannot be said for February’s other major release, Street Fighter V, which debuted at no.7 on PS4 and PC. While not a terrible start by any shape or form, it’s not quite as successful as one would have thought from a series with such a pedigree as Capcom’s venerable fighting game franchise.
As previously reported on PSU, the PS4 came out on top as the best-selling console last month, and also flogged more games than any other system in the same period.
