Far Cry Primal gameplay to premiere at The Game Awards 2015

The first gameplay footage of Ubisoft’s Far Cry Primal will debut at December’s The Game Awards 2015, Geoff Keighley has confirmed via Twitter.

Keighley confirmed the news just a day after revealing that the awards will play host to a whopping 10 world premieres. While we now know that Far Cry Primal will be one of these world premieres, it remains unknown what other titles will be shown off at the event. However, you can probably expect a few game reveals in addition to gameplay premieres, as the awards—previously known as the Spike Video Game Awards and VGX—are known to host a number of major announcements.

Far Cry Primal was announced a few months and ago and will be hitting PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One in February 2016. Unlike the recent contemporary Far Cry titles, this latest entry in the multi-million selling series takes place 10,000 years BC. Now in the Stone Age, gamers take control of Takkar, a season hunter who must survive in a hostile world where humans are at the bottom of the food chain among the savage beasts that populate the sprawling, majestic land of Oros. The game is in development at Ubisoft Montreal in collaboration with the company’s Toronto branch.

The Game Awards 2015 take place on December 3, with the PS4-exclusive Bloodborne being just one of the many titles nominated for Game of the Year. The same week, Sony will host its own PlayStation Experience event, which itself is expected to host a number of surprise announcements, plus a range of playable titles. Be sure to check out a trailer for PSX 2015 to get you pumped for Sony’s annual PlayStation shindig.
