European ratings body PEGI has posted a listing for a Far Cry spin-off game called Captain Laserhawk Niji Warrior, which is presumably based on the Captain Laserhawk anime series.
Ubisoft hasn’t announced anything at the time of writing and only a PC version has been listed. For those unaware, Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix, which is available on Netflix, is an animated series that was based on the hugely popular Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, which was release as standalone DLC for Far Cry 3.
According to the PEGI rating, Captain Laserhawk Niji Warrior sees “players take part in a laser ‘deathmatch’ and compete to eliminate the most opponents.” It also mentions the ability to purchase in-game items including cosmetic goodies.

While we’re on the subject of Far Cry, Ubisoft is heavily rumoured to be working on the next full instalment in the series, Far Cry 7, which is reportedly using the Snowdrop engine. Beyond that, the company is also meant to be working on a multiplayer Far Cry title set in the Alaskan wilderness and takes the form of an extraction-based shooter.
