Farming Simulator is back, with added pigs and trains!

GIANTS software has announced that Farming Simulator 17 will hit PlayStation 4 on October 25, 2016 with a barnstorming set of new gameplay additions.

Chief among the new features in this latest entry in the agriculture-’em-up franchise is the addition of drivable trains to help ferry your harvest about the place, plus the chance to raise pigs for the first time.

Trains are particularly useful for their storage capacity, allowing you to lug everything from seeds, animals, fresh goods, and even logs that you have chopped down from woodcutting.

Elsewhere, new crops this time around include sunflowers, while the game adds a brand new map in the shape of Goldcrest Valley in North America. Overall, players can look forward to 250 unique vehicles and equipment spanning some 75 different brands.

With that said, get moooooving (we apologise for that) and check out the new Farming Simulator 17 trailer below.

Farming Simulator began life on the PC back in 2008, although in 2012 the series expanded onto consoles such as PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The series has sold over four million copies worldwide, and has found great success in European territories.
