Filming For Until Dawn Movie Kicks Off News PlayStation PlayStation Productions PS5 Sony Supermassive Games Until Dawn Until Dawn Film Until Dawn Movie

Filming For The Until Dawn Movie Has Kicked Off

Until Dawn is a game that was trying to mimic the cinematic experience of a movie in an interactive way. So in some way, it was always meant to then become a movie, and that destiny is beginning to be fulfilled as filming has officially begun.

The news was coyly announced by Asad Quizilbash, head of PlayStation Productions with a tweet showing a photograph of the production’s opening slate.

On top of the new film, there’s also a remaster of Until Dawn heading to the PS5 and PC that is set to arrive sometime this Fall. If filming finishes before the end of the year and post-production begins immediately, then we could see the film perhaps be ready only a year after the release of the coming remaster.

Of course those are all ‘big if’s’ but only time will tell. In the meantime we can look forward to the film with the knowledge that the writer and director behind beloved horror film Annabel: Creation are also behind the Until Dawn film.

David F. Sandberg has been tapped to direct while Gary Dauberman will work on the script alongside being a producer for the film.

Hopefully the two of them are able to deliver an experience as thrilling as the game was back when it first launched back in 2015.
