Final Fantasy XVI’s next upcoming DLC and potentially its last DLC, The Rising Tide now has a release date, and players can look forward to getting their hands on it when it arrives on PS5 on April 18, 2024.
The news was announced with a PlayStation Blog post which also goes over a few of the changes and updates players can expect in the game’s 1.3 update, such as new photo mode features, UI updates, customizable controls, and more.
Square Enix has also raised the level cap to 60, and added a new Leviathan Eikonic ability set, and of course new locations for you to run around in as Clive.
While The Rising Tide expansion is set just before the end of Final Fantasy XVI’s story, this coming update will also bring new endgame content for players not ready to leave Clive behind.
A combat challenge mode Karios Gate even includes a special nod to classic Final Fantasy styles with a menu that is very reminiscent of those original games.
