Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade is taking full advantage of the PS5’s extra technical muscle, so much so that the console’s SSD allows the game to load in just over two seconds. This represents a huge advantage of the original PS4 version of the game.
A comparison video posted up by Twitter user Andres Gutierrez has revealed that Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade loads in 2.10 seconds, compared to 39.83 seconds on PS4 Pro and 43.69 seconds on the PS4. Blimey, the PS5 version is so fast you can’t even put the kettle on while you wait!

Elsewhere, it’s also been revealed that the PS5 version of the critically acclaimed RPG, which is the first entry in a multi-part effort to remake the 1997 PSOne classic, runs at 1620p when played in 60 FPS mode.
The other mode on offer, Resolution, sees Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade running at 30 FPS in native 4K.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade is out today for PS5, and come with a brand new Yuffie-centric chapter, INTERmission. We’re planning on reviewing the game, but we won’t have our verdict for you just yet.
