Speaking during an interview with Game Informer, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Director Naoki Hamaguchi confirmed that the game will weigh in at 150GB, although there’s no disc swapping involved.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will feature 100GB on one disc and the remaining 50GB on the other, but players can install the game using both of them before using just one disc to play the full game.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth won’t allow players to transfer their FFVII Remake saves to keep their abilities and level, although there are bonus items to unlock if you do have your original save file. Meanwhile, in terms of game length, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will offer over 100 hours of gameplay.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is scheduled for release on February 29, 2024 for the PS5, and will be exclusive to the console for at least three months.
