Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth News PS5 square enix

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth PS5 Exclusivity Is For At Least 3 Months

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is going to be exclusive to the PS5 for at least three months, Square Enix has revealed.

The publisher confirmed the details at the end of the game’s release date trailer, where it was revealed that Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will “not [be] available on other formats until at least 05.29.2024.” Presumably this means the game is free to come to PC after this date, although the subject of an Xbox release remains up in the air given the fact Final Fantasy VII Remake hasn’t made the jump yet.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth picks up following the release of the previous game, with Cloud and company setting off from Midgar into the open world in their pursuit of Sephiroth. Speaking of the sword-wielding villain, Square Enix confirmed that Sephiroth will be playable in the game during the flashback to Nibelheim.

Square Enix announced during State of Play yesterday that Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will launch on February 29, 2024.
