Final Fantasy VII Revelation was announced during Summer Game Fest back in June and is confirmed to launch in Spring 2027 for PS5, PC, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox Series X/S.
Game director Naoki Hamaguchi has been giving a lot of interviews recently to the press, which has revealed some interesting details on the project. For starters, he stated that any possible DLC for Final Fantasy VII Revelation will likely focus on ‘untold stories’ of its characters, as the story will be concluded in the main game. Meanwhile, Hamaguchi-san confirmed that the game’s job system, known as FITS, will see characters limited to four jobs each.
Speaking in with YouTube’s Ashif’s Release Notes, Hamaguchi also revealed that there will be some connective threads between FFVII Revelation and Final Fantasy VII Advent Children and the various spinoffs, such as Dirge of the Cerberus.
