The development team behind the much-anticipated Final Fantasy XV for PS4 and Xbox One has said that it considers frame rate a higher priority than resolution.

Speaking during the latest Active Time Report this week, Game Director Hajime Tabata and Marketing Manager Akio Ofuji said that Square Enix is working on optimising the performance of the game’s frame rate following feedback from Episode Duscae.

"We are working towards full HD. But frame rate is more important than resolution," they said, before adding that the team feels achieving a solid 30fps is a "high priority issue."

Square Enix announced earlier this week that it will be re-releasing the demo as Episode Duscae 2.0 in mid-May. Final Fantasy XV is yet to receive a concrete release date, though the company confirmed that its presence at E3 this year will be limited.
