Square Enix has confirmed that the PlayStation Vita edition of Final Fantasy X/X-2 will be released in North America on March 18 and in Europe on March 21.
This puts the handheld version of the RPG remasters out day-and-date with its PlayStation 3 counterpart.
Unlike the home console release however, the PS Vita version won’t come in a single bundle; rather, physical copies of FFX-HD will offer consumers a download code for FFX-2 HD. The game will retail for $39.99.
Gamers in the U.S. can also snap up a Collector’s Edition of FFX/X-2 for PS3 (seen above), which is available exclusively on the Square Enix online store. Meanwhile, Europeans will be treated to the limited edition release featuring a 48-page art book and message from Yoshinori Kitase.
Providing both games are successful, Square said it is willing to pursue the idea of more remakes down the line.
