The first game in October’s PlayStation Plus line-up of free games has been confirmed extremely early this month in the form of ‘hard as nails’ platformer Super Meat Boy for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
From developer Team Meat, Super Meat Boy will feature five chapters, 300 levels and 16 unlokcable characters as you attempt to save a damsel in distress. There’s some creepy environments in the game, including a haunted hospital, a crumbling cave, and even hell itself! They’ll be boss fights, a level editor and unlockable secrets, as well as 33 PlayStation trophies up for grabs if you’ve got the skills.
How do we know it’s going to be a free PlayStation Plus game?
Well, the Sony product page now has the official release date of Super Meat Boy as October 10, 2015, and the developer confirmed earlier this year that it would be a PlayStation Plus title when it launches.
Other free PS Plus games for October should be revealed near the end of the month.
