Console HD ports of Five Nights At Freddy’s “core games” are in the making for PS4, Xbox One and Switch. Presumably that means that the first four main games in the survival horror series!
In addition, developer Scott Cawthon, has confirmed that he’s working on a big-budget game. Though no details have been revealed, he says it will be the game that “Five Nights At Freddy’s fans will want to see!”
As if that wasn’t enough, Five Nights At Freddy’s VR is also in the works. Scott reveals:
This game is looking terrific. I’m working with a company called Steel Wool to bring the VR game to life, and these guys are making some crazy stuff. If you liked repairing Funtime Freddy up-close in Sister Location, just wait until you try to do something like that in VR, up close, personal, with these huge animatronics that are just one mistake away from jumping at you.
In terms of the Five Nights At Freddy’s PS4 port and console ports, Scott says he’s working with Clickteam to create “new, improved HD ports of all the original games.”
Previously, Five Nights At Freddy’s 1-4 have been reserved for PC players. The last game in the point-and-click horror survival game was released in 2015. If you want to get an idea of what it’s all about, check out the trailer for Five Nights At Freddy’s 4.
A release date for the console ports has not yet been revealed. Though the fact that Scott says they’re only 20 percent complete, suggests they’re a long way off.
