For Honor release date confirmed; two gameplay trailers released

Ubisoft’s For Honor has received a release date along with two new trailers at the Ubisoft E3 2016 press conference. For Honor will be released on February 14, 2017 because nothing says I love you like a battle between Vikings and Samurai’s.

Ubisoft unveiled two new trailers detailing a cataclysmic event which leads to the war between the three factions, a war that has lasted for over a thousand years. Along with the multiplayer aspect the game also features a single player campaign where we learn of a fourth faction led by someone called Apolyte (we are not sure how it’s spelled) who seems to be pulling the strings of the Samurai’s, Vikings and Knights forcing them to continue to fight.

The other video showcases the Viking siege of a Japanese castle which sports some impressive number of enemies on screen. The gameplay trailer features a bunch of unique aspects to its combat. A more detailed and refined combat system showing off how counters and dodges work against the more stronger foes. Players will also be able to use the environment to their advantage. Throwing your enemies off rooftops and smashing them into spiked barricades.

Stay tuned for more from E3 2016.
