Epic Games has lifted the wraps off the revised Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3 launch date, confirming the next phase of the battle royale title will kick off on June 11. This means that Season 2 is being extended by one week.

Writing on its official website, Epic revealed that The Device, a one-time-only live event, will kick off on Saturday, June 6 at 2.00pm EST, and advises players to show up half-an-hour early to secure a spot. The studio also reminded folk to complete their Battle Pass Challenges to lock in appearance choices for Brutus, TNTina, Meowscles, Skye, Midas, and Maya.
If you don’t happen to know what Fortnite is at this point, then I can only presume you’ve been living under a rock or don’t have younger relatives. My niece is constantly going on about how people at her school are into Fortnite, and seem to hate any other games. Tsk tsk.
Fortnite Battle Royale is now available for PS4, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One, and has amassed over 250 million players worldwide.
