A second round of content updates has arrived as part of Fortnite v7.20.
Among the highlights are an update to the game’s most recent LTM, Sniper Shootout, and a brand-new, wintry disguise called the Sneaky Snowman.
Fortnite v7.20 – The Sneaky Snowman
The latter, accompanied by a charming little teaser trailer, does exactly what you might expect: lets players blend into their surroundings by donning an adorable snowman disguise.
Unlike the standard bush disguise, however, the Sneaky Snowman boasts some rather useful defensive capabilities. Although, it’s important to note that you cannot build or fire weapons whilst wearing the disguise; which is fine by me. I tend not to do very well if I attempt to actually engage another player.
The Sneaky Snowman is available in the common variant, drops in stacks of five, and can be obtained from floor loot, chests, and supply llamas.
Sniper Shootout
While the changes made to Sniper Shootout in today’s update are reasonably minor, the addition of two new weapons is certainly welcome.
First and foremost, supressed sniper rifles have been added, allowing you to take a few cheeky pot shots at enemies without blowing your cover. While, if you’re looking for something with a little of extra oomph, legendary scoped pistols have also been added to supply drops.
Epic Games has also made a handful of minor gameplay alterations to Sniper Shootout. These are:
- Floor Loot spawners reduced by 50%
- Reviving “Down But Not Out” teammates in Duos & Squads is deactivated – be careful peeking!
- Profile Stats (K/D & Wins) are tracked in this mode
Creative and Save the World
Outside of Battle Royale mode, both Fortnite Creative and Save the World have received a few basic alterations.
The former now contains, along with the aforementioned Sneaky Snowman disguise, six additional weapons: the light machine gun, remote explosive, revolver, semi-automatic sniper rifle, smoke grenade, and sub-machine gun.
Save the World, meanwhile, expands with Frostnite weekly challenge 4 and an agile new hero named Lynx Kassandra.
