Fracture dev: PS3/360 versions both look "flawless"

Developer Day 1 Studios has said that the absence of a playable build of the PlayStation 3 version of Fracture last week was not a result of development lagging behind its Xbox 360 counterpart.

Quite the contrary in fact, according to Associate Producer, Jeffrey Gullett, who revealed that the team have gotten over the major hurdles involved in PS3 development, and have both versions up and running side-by-side, noting they look “flawless.”

"It was one of those things that was really sort of challenging and scary at first," before stating the team has "gotten over most of the major hurdles and now we’ve had them running side by side simultaneously, and they look flawless,” said Gullett.

"You can’t even tell the difference," he said, adding, “We’ve managed to pretty much get everything that we’ve put into the 360 version in the PS3 as well."

In closing, Gullett commented, "the big thing with the PS3 that I think all the developers are struggling with is when it comes to memory.”

Fracture is currently scheduled for release this fall.
