The official Dead Space 2 Facebook page brings news that Electronic Arts will release a free map pack shortly for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of its sci-fi, first-person shooter.
The two maps, titled ‘Academy’ and ‘Concourse’ will be available via the PlayStation Network on June 3, with the Xbox 360 version arriving a few days earlier on May 31. No further details were revealed, but it’s worth noting that the content is set to arrive on PSN on a Friday, rather than the usual Tuesday update.
This ties in nicely with the rumor that Sony is looking to catch up on content missed due to the PSN downtime and will release content on the service twice a week starting on May 24.Sony has yet to confirm the twice weekly updates, but it looks like EA has now done that for them. Incidentally, anyone looking forward to the new maps?
