Sony has confirmed via the latest episode of PlayStation Access that the PlayStation 4’s party chat feature will be free and can accommodate up to 2,000 friends.
PlayStation Plus subscription will not be required to utilize the service, and while it won’t support the DualShock 3, you’ll still be able to use PlayStation Move to navigate.
In addition, Sony confirmed that existing PlayStation Network avatars and usernames will also transfer over to the company’s upcoming next-generation console.
Sony announced PS4 during a special event in New York City back in February, though the console itself wasn’t shown until E3 last month. PS4 will launch this November for the well-received price of $399/£349, undercutting the Xbox One by $100/£80.
