One of the greatest aspects of playing a video game is getting to put on the shoes of someone unfamiliar to ourselves. From Dust puts some rather large shoes on players. In the game, originally known as Project Dust, player takes on the role of God, creating a world that humans can influence but not control.
We learn all about Ubisoft’s God game through this developer tech video, posted below. Players will essentially build a world using various tools. They’ll form land masses with hard rock, cover it with sand and soil, create rivers, and watch as vegetation naturally grows.
But all is not flowers and sunshine. In the video, we learn the world can get hit with devastating earth quakes or tsunamis. Everything in game is similar to Earth, just on a much faster timeframe.
The game is out next year, and we can’t wait to learn more about this God game. After all, if we are going to wear any shoes, why not wear the shoes of a God.
