Amazon Prime Video’s upcoming Tomb Raider TV show has a creative lead in Fleabag star Phoebe Waller-Bridge as the show’s lead writer, but it’s still missing a key component – Lara Croft herself.
Though perhaps not for much longer, as Game Of Thrones star Sophie Turner is reportedly in talks about stepping into the role herself.
In a new report from Deadline it is alleged that Turner “is in negotiations” for the role, after being one of the short-listed actresses to test for it just last month, which was also reported by Deadline.
Turner definitely fits the bill for the role of Lara in that she’s also from the UK and won’t have any accent issues, and she’s proved time and again in her career that she certainly has the acting chops for pretty much any challenge.
Should she move forward with the role, it would definitely make the show even more of a must-watch to see how it all plays out.
