Gamescom 2012: Epic Mickey 2 screens

The world’s most famous mouse returns to current-generation platforms this fall with the release of the vibrant platformer, Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two.

Developed by Junction Point Studios, the game sees Mickey team up with Oswald the Lucky Rabbit in an attempt to uncover the truth behind the supposed reformation of the dastardly Mad Doctor, whom Mickey supposedly vanquished in the original game.

As the title suggest, The Power of Two adds a second playable character in the form of Oswald, who can assist Mickey as an AI or player-controller partner. Oswald’s abilities differ from that of his partner’s, and can take flight with his ears and detach his feet among other talents. Whereas Mickey uses a paintbrush, Oswald prefers a remote control.

The Power of Two showed up at Gamescom this week in full force, and we’ve included the latest batch of screenshots for you in our gallery here. First, check out a quick teaser shot below.
