Gearbox overlord Randy Pitchford has confirmed that the studio is in the process of hiring for the next chapter in the Borderlands franchise.
Pitchford took to Twitter to tease the project, presumably the long-awaited Borderlands 3, which he described as ‘the big one.’

Borderlands 3 was tipped for a formal announcement at PAX South over the weekend, although this obviously didn’t happen. However, at least we know Gearbox is staffing up for a new game, even if it isn’t already in full development.
In the meantime, there’s always Borderlands: The Handsome Collection to tide you over, which includes spruced up versions of Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
