Gears of War Reloaded is now available for the PS5, marking the first time the franchise has been made available on a rival format. However, the game’s Platinum Trophy has suggested that we may yet see more Gears of War titles grace a PlayStation console.
The description for the Platinum Trophy, titled ‘Nothin’ Left,’ reads “Your adventure is over, for now…” One key detail is that these particular unlock is exclusive to the PS5 version as Xbox Series X/S owners don’t get an equivalent Achievement. This suggests that there’s more Gears of War headed to PS5, although nothing official has been confirmed yet.

It wouldn’t be that big of a stretch to imagine more Gears of War is heading to PS5, seeing as how Microsoft has been very proactive in bringing some of its biggest titles to other formats for over a year now. Prior to the official announcement of Gears of War Reloaded, it was heavily rumoured that the original trilogy would be coming to PS5, so there’s a strong chance Gears of War 2 & 3 may yet make the jump. A Gears of War Collection was rumoured multiple times to appear at June’s Xbox Showcase.
The Coalition is also busy working on 2026’s Gears of War: E-Day, and indeed we’ve already seen hints that a PS5 version is being planned. Gears of War Reloaded is now available for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S, and you can have a butcher’s at our full verdict here.
