Genshin Impact Update 5.1 ‘The Rainbow Destined To Burn’ Arrives Oct. 9, Brings Xilonen As 5-Star Geo Sword Wielder

miHoYo has announced that Genshin Impact update 5.1, known as The Rainbow Destined to Burn, will launch on October 9, 2024 and brings a new 5-star Geo Sword wielder in the form of Xilonen.

Xilonen is a legendary crafter of items including Pyro Archo’s sunglasses, and is also a talent warrior in her own right. Differing from traditional climbers, Xilonen can skate effortlessly and perform agile jumps along cliff walls, while in combat is able to reduce the Elemental RES of enemies and heal her teammates using Samplers. Xilonen will also feature in Event Wishes during the first half alongside Chiroi, with Nahida and Hu Tao returning for the second half.

Back in Sumeru, the streets come alive with joyful rhythms during the Sabzeruz Festival, honoring the birthday of Lesser Lord Kusanali. This year, players will reunite with Dehya, Tighnari, and Collei to prepare a heartwarming birthday surprise for Nahida, taking on the special role of Knight of Flowers to escort her carriage through the festival parade.

Meanwhile, Genshin Impact update 5.1 also intrudes a number of quality-of-life improvements for the Spiral Abyss, character ascension, Artifacts, and Echo Cosmetics. For example, there’s a new skip feature allows you to bypass Floor 9 in the Spiral Abyss if players have reached full stars on Floor 11 in the previous patch. In addition, Artefact Set filters and affix sorting preferences for individual slots will now be saved, so you won’t need to reset them after each session.
