Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced at CES 2022 that Ghost of Tsushima has sold eight million copies worldwide.
Sucker Punch Productions‘ samurai epic launched for the PS4 in Summer 2020, and was later released for the PS5 with Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut. This version of the game also came to the PS4, and includes a brand new location to explore.
Meanwhile, the PS5 version of the game also features a host of performance improvements, including enhanced resolution and frame rate, as well as support for the DualSense controller.

Sony is also working on a Ghost of Tsushima movie helmed by director Chad Stahelski, who recently offered a few new comments on the project, which is still in the early stages of production.
Prior to working on Ghost of Tsushima, Sucker Punch cut its teeth on the Sly Cooper and inFAMOUS franchises.
