Ghost of Yotei is getting a brand-new roguelike mode called Most Wanted, and PlayStation has just given us another look at the new content during today’s State of Play.
Most Wanted is a new single-player combat survival mode that sees players taking on bounties and fighting through successive runs. Taking down enemies will earn perks, while successful runs will also unlock additional characters to play as.
Atsu returns with her dual katana, while Oyuki wields the kusarigama and Nagato uses a yari, giving players different combat styles to experiment with.
The mode will arrive alongside Ghost of Yotei: Complete Edition on October 1, which also includes the new Echoes of Sekigahara narrative expansion.
That expansion adds a new story split between Atsu’s present-day journey and flashbacks to her time on the mainland, including her experiences during the Battle of Sekigahara. Players can expect new enemies, weapons, armour sets and dyes.
The Complete Edition will also include Ghost of Yotei and its Legends co-op mode, while existing owners can purchase an upgrade to access the new content. A free update arriving alongside the Complete Edition will also add several new features, including Beauty of Yotei and additional accessibility options.
