Ghost Recon Wildlands free weekend

Ubisoft has announced that Ghost Recon Wildlands will be going free to play this weekend on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One.

Ghost Recon Wildlands goes free this weekend

The tactical open-world shooter had previously seen a free trial edition earlier this year. However, unlike that five-hour teaser, this latest free to play event will allow you to experience the entire game.

It’s worth noting that while all content will be available to enjoy during the free weekend, paid DLC will not be included.

The Ghost Recon Wildlands free weekend will kick off on October 12 and will last until October 15. Here, you can enjoy the game with all free updates, the upcoming Ghost War competitive multiplayer, and Tier 1 mode for all end-game rewards.

In addition, Ubisoft is slashing the price of Ghost Recon Wildlands by 50 percent across PS4, PC, and Xbox One. This means you can pick up the standard edition for just $30, plus any progress you make in the free weekend will transfer over to the full release.

The Ghost Recon Wildlands PvP event launches on October 10. The competitive multiplayer mode has players battling it out in 4v4 teams across large-scale maps.

Ghost Recon Wildlands was released in March 2017, and became one of the best-selling games of the year up to that point. Read our review of the tactical shooter to see what we made of it.
