Overcooked developer Ghost Town Games has lifted the wraps off its latest title at The Game Awards 2024. It’s called Stage Fright, and will be published by Hello Games, the makers of No Man’s Sky.
Stage Fright is a different beast than Overcooked, but like that game, features online play and also features couch co-op. It’s been described as Luigi’s Mansion mixed with Overcooked, featuring a charming story and places a large emphasis on co-op mechanics. Here’s a bit of blurb from the PR email:
Something like 90% of Overcooked sessions were two player which is why Ghost Town are so excited to bring that audience a brand new two player experience. From day one, the Overcooked team were passionate about making games everyone can play. And this focus continues with Stage Fright. We’ve play-tested with people who’ve never held a controller, as well as the most hard core gamers.

Originally known as Project Attic, due to the fact its creators have been working on the game for five years in their — you’ve guessed it — attic, Stage Fright, Hello Games got involved after becoming close friends with the team.
Stage Fright has yet to attract a release date.
