nDreams, the developer behind Ghostbusters VR, has announced a new initiative to combat rising energy costs this winter in the UK.
The studio has revealed it will be increasing full-time salaries for all of its 180-strong development team by £1,000, which is a permanent increase and not a one-time cost of living bonus.
nDreams’ Chief People Officer, Tamsin O’ Luanaigh, commented:
As a company, we’ve always focused heavily on initiatives to support our team members’ mental health. The significance of financial wellbeing as a key part of this conversation is something we have never shied away from, and so ensuring that our team members are well-compensated and protected against the rising costs of energy has been a priority for us.

After careful calculations, we are happy that our approach is the right one to ease the concerns of our team members and to make up for the limitations of the government’s support package.
nDreams announced earlier this year that it had received a $35 million investment from Aonic Group, and is one of many studios that have confirmed development of titles for the PSVR 2.
