While we won’t find out until Monday how it has done in the physical charts, the game is comfortably on track to become the God of War franchise’s fourth entry to top the UK charts. The other three chart toppers are God of War (2018), God of War 3 and God of War II.
According to Dorian Bloch from GfK, God of War Ragnarok’s hardware bundle accounted for 55% of PS5 sales during this week. Furthermore, the game is poised to take the UK boxed top spot.
God of War Ragnarok will debut at No.1 and is the first cross-gen title in the series,” Bloch says. “Day 1 physical sales were already greater than any other full-week launch sales for other titles in this franchise.
