Sony Santa Monica Studio’s Eric Williams revealed during a chat with the Washington Post that the team purposefully designed Heimdall in God of War Ragnarok to have “the most punchable face you’ve ever seen.”
He’s an amalgamation of everything people don’t like about people. But there’s a reason behind it. He can read people’s intentions. Imagine what that would do to you. You could actually read why they don’t like you. And you would just be disgusted by it. He’s just a jerk; we gave him the most punchable face you’ve ever seen.
God of War Ragnarok was released on November 8, 2022 for PS4 & PS5. The game was a huge success, with Sony announcing the god-slaying sequel had sold 5.1 million copies in its first week alone and becoming PlayStation’s fastest-selling first-party game launch of all time.
