God Of War Ragnarok Team Were Worried About The Game ‘Not Being Good’ Only A Few Months Ago

Members of the God of War Ragnarok development team at Sony Santa Monica Studio have admitted that it was only a few months ago that the team were worried about the sequel not being any good.

Speaking with GQ magazine, God of War Ragnarok Game Director Eric Williams revealed the development team had a panic about the game’s quality mere months ago.

They were freaking out three months ago, ‘Holy crap, the game’s not good. What are we going to do?

Meanwhile, God of War overlord Cory Barlog added:

When the horse decides it wants to run, and it just starts going, you feel like you have no control, and you’re just holding on.

Going by the reception to God of War Ragnarok thus far, it’s fair to say that the team shouldn’t have anything to worry about regarding the game’s quality. Speaking of Sony Santa Monica, it was recently revealed during the same interview that the team has grown to around 400 individuals.

In related news, it emerged overnight that a number of buyers of the God of War Ragnarok Collector’s Edition were missing their copy of the game.
