God of War Ragnarok was released on November 8, 2022 for PS4 & PS5. Sony announced later that month that the game had sold a massive 5.1 million copies in its first week, becoming the fastest-selling first-party PlayStation game launch of all time.
Elsewhere, Sony Santa Monica’s title picked up TIME Magazine’s award for Game of the Year, and also scooped numerous gongs at The Game Awards 2022, including Best Actor for Christopher Judge as Kratos.
A recent God of War Ragnarok update added a Photo Mode to the game, and Sony has been busy patching the title since launch to iron out any lingering bugs.
