God Of War Ragnarok Update 6.06 Adds Power Saver Mode For PS5, PS5 Pro

Sony Santa Monica Studio has released a new patch for God of War Ragnarok, which implements the new Power Save Mode for PS5 and PS5 Pro users. God of War Ragnarok update 6.06 doesn’t do anything else outside of this, but it’s clear that Sony is looking to keep pushing this feature, as a number games already support it. As previously reported, it has been claimed by a hardware insider that the format holder is using Power Save Mode as something of a Trojan Horse to prepare for the rumoured PS6 handheld.

Here’s full patch notes:

  • Adds compatibility for Power Saver mode on PS5 and PS5 Pro.

God of War Ragnarok was released in 2022 for PS4 and PS5, and continues the storyline established in 2018’s God of War. Here, we find Kratos and Atreus, who is now slightly older than before, as they find themselves exploring more of the Norse landscape and interacting with the likes of Tyr, Odin, and Thor. In related news, Amazon Prime Video’s God of War series has officially cast Ryan Hurst in the role of Kratos, who fans will no doubt remember for playing Thor in GoW: Ragnarok. Preproduction on the series is now underway in Vancouver, Canada.
