Sony Santa Monica Studio‘s Cory Barlog has posted a brief video marking the fourth anniversary of the release of God of War, and has promised that news on the highly anticipated God of War Ragnarok will drop soon.
Yes, it’s really been four years since Kratos and Atreus’ epic adventure landed on PS4, acting as a soft reboot of the franchise as well as continuing the story for everyone’s favourite bald anti-hero. Since then, the game has sold millions of copies and has even made its way to the PC.
The team is currently hard at work on God of War Ragnarok, which is pencilled in for release in 2022. However, Barlog said that the team aren’t quite ready to show us more of the game just yet.
