Gran Turismo 7 dev hiring again, hints at improved AI and companion app

The creator behind the multi-million selling Gran Turismo franchise has posted a series of job ads for the upcoming seventh instalment in the series on PlayStation 4.

According to Polyphony Digital’s official recruitment page, the studio is looking to make a number of gameplay improvements to the upcoming Gran Turismo 7.

The vacancies require the candidate to be experienced in PS4, PC and mobile development, hinting that the upcoming racer may receive some sort of companion app for mobile and Android devices.

In particular, the job ads (as translated by DualShockers) suggest that improvements are being made to GT7’s artificial intelligence, as well as enhanced vehicle simulation and physics engine.

Gran Turismo 7 is currently in development for the PS4, though a release date has yet to be announced. However, Polyphony Digital boss Kazunori Yamauchi has said we ‘won’t have to wait long‘ for the game’s release.

In addition, Yamauchi-san previously said that PS4 hardware will make an ‘incredible difference‘ to the franchise. We also know that members of the Forza team are working on the game.
