Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look Confirmed For Netflix On August 27

Rockstar Games has announced that Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look will premiere on August 27, 2026 on Netflix at 3.00pm EST, and will also be uploaded to the developer’s YouTube channel at 9.00pm EST on the same day.

That’s about all the details we have on this Extended Look, but you can probably put a safe bet on the assumption we’ll get plenty of info on the game’s massive open-world, as well as GTA VI’s combat and story. Plus, this is the first time that a developer/publisher has done anything like this to market a new game, so you’ll definitely want tune in.

Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled to launch for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on November 17, 2026. The game is only going to be available digitally at launch – even the physical boxed copy only includes a download code, not a disc – and there’s no indication that we’ll even get a disc version in the months after release.

The game will retail for $79.99 for its Standard Edition while the Ultimate Edition will set you back $99.99. GTA VI is set in the fictionalised Vice City, which is based on the real-world Miami, and surrounding areas as players follow the exploits of crime duo Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos.
