Spiders Games, the studio responsible for the GreedFall franchise, has reportedly been hit by a number of layoffs mostly affecting the Animation and Rig teams.
As spotted by HazzadorGamin on X, the layoffs were confirmed by a lead animator working at Spiders Games, who posted the following on their LinkedIn profile:
We’ve recently been informed that, like most of the industry, Spiders Games will proceed a layoff plan and sadly most of the Animation and Rig team will be affected…If you’re looking for some talent and passionated Paris based Animator or a Rig Artist hit me up!

Spiders Games was formed in 2008 by developers who had previously worked at Monte Cristo, and in 2019 the studio was acquired by Nacon, who are the time were known as Bigben Interactive. Spiders Games is currently working on GreedFall 2: The Dying World for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S, which is pencilled in for a 2025 launch.
