Sony has confirmed via the North American PlayStation Blog that Grand Theft Auto III will be released on PlayStation Network this week.
Presumably this means we can expect the PAL version to turn up on Wednesday’s PlayStation Store update, though that has yet to be confirmed.
GTA III will set you back $10, though it should be noted this is the no-thrills PlayStation 2 version, so don’t expect any Trophies or a high-definition makeover.
GTA: Vice City was listed alongside GTA III on the ESRB’s official website back in June, so hopefully we’ll hear more about the seminal 1980s crime romp’s PSN re-release in the near future.
